Terms and Conditions
The following terms relate to the booking service provided to you by RentCampervan which is owned and operated by Road Trip Holidayz Limited. These terms may be changed at any time at our discretion. You agree to these terms with us for booking service, in addition to the terms of the rental agreement by Third Party Vehicle Supplier.
The merchant name on your statement will appear as 'Road Trip Holidayz Limited'.
There is various information (vehicle details, rates, etc) displayed on this website and our electronic correspondence and while we have taken every precaution to ensure that the content on this website is both current and accurate, errors can occur. RentCampervan assumes no responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions in the content of this website (including vehicle price and details) and our electronic correspondence. The information contained on this website and our electronic correspondence is provided on an ‘as is’ basis with no guarantees of completeness, accuracy, usefulness or timeliness and without any warranties of any kind whatsoever, expressed or implied. RentCampervan does not warrant that this site and any information or material on this site and our electronic correspondence will be uninterrupted, error-free, omission-free or free of viruses or other harmful items. We also reserve the right to update any information on this website at any time at our discretion.
On very rare occasions, a rate may be displayed incorrectly on our website and/or our electronic correspondence due to our, or a Third Party Vehicle Supplier’s error. In such a case, if you book with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. Also, All the information about the vehicles that is displayed on our website if provided by Third Party Vehicle Supplier and we take utmost care that information is as accurate as possible, we are not responsible if the vehicle details or any of the feature (one or more) do not match with the vehicle that was provided to you by Third party Vehicle Supplier.
To the extent permitted by law we/the owners of this website will not be liable to you or to any third party (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage or for any accident, injury, delay or loss of enjoyment arising out of your reliance upon information contained on this website, including but not limited to your use (or inability to use) any products or services described or procured through this website.
Your rental and use of a vehicle booked through our site will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement with the Third Party Vehicle Supplier. The rental agreement and any other documentation provided to you by the Third Party Vehicle Supplier is between you and the Third Party Vehicle Supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in any way in relation to that agreement or your vehicle or rental service where your booking has been properly processed by us. We are not responsible or liable to you for (i) the acts or omissions of the Third Party Vehicle Supplier in respect of your booking or in the course of delivering the rental service to you; or (ii) any disputes in respect of your booking with that Third Party Vehicle Supplier or that service, except in each case to the extent that responsibility for those matters may be imposed on us by applicable law. While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable Third Party Vehicle Suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness suitability of any Third Party Vehicle Supplier product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality fitness of any vehicle. If you encounter issues with the vehicle whilst on hire, you MUST report these issues directly to the relevant Third Party Vehicle Supplier at the earliest possible time. This will allow the Third Party Vehicle Supplier to remedy any issues and minimise any inconvenience to you. If you fail to report any vehicle issues during your rental, it is likely that compensation will not be offered. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our Third Party Vehicle Supplier. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a Third Party Vehicle Supplier. Where we are liable to you under our terms and conditions, our total liability to you will be limited to (at our option) resupply of the booking service provided to you or refund the dollar amount of the deposit we received from you in relation to your booking. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance.
In the event Third Party Vehicle Supplier cancels the confirmed booking due to campervan severly damaged (for example due to accident caused by the previous hirer) or sudden mechanical failure and cancels the confirmed booking, our liability is limited to a refund of the deposit amount you paid at the time of vehicle booking.
Note: We will make reasonable efforts to find an alternate campervan for you from other Third party Vehicle Suppliers but during peak season or due to short notice this may not be possible and in such case our liability will be limited to refund of the deposit amount you paid at the time of vehicle booking.
Most campervan booking agents does not have live availability on their website. When you request booking via the ‘Book now’ option on our website and pay the deposit, we check the availability of the vehicle and confirm the booking and accept your deposit if the vehicle is available during your travel dates. Please note that once the booking is confirmed, the deposit will become non-refundable and all terms and conditions will apply.
Please Note: Confirmation vouchers for bookings made on a weekend will be emailed on Monday (by 5:30pn NZ time). In such cases, if your booking is confirmed, our team will notify you via email that your booking is confirmed and a confirmation voucher will be sent to you soon,
Balance payment will need to be paid by the due date. Upon receipt of booking confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date. If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent. In case the vehicle is not available, we will provide you the option of choosing an alternative vehicle that may be available or refund the full deposit amount. The alternate option may have higher deposit amount and rental price and you agree to pay the difference in deposit and rental price if you proceed with the alternate option. Once you pay the deposit amount for alternate option or send us an email which says you are okay to proceed with the alternate option, we have right to charge your card for the deposit amount. Please note that the refund of deposit may take up to 8-10 weeks depending on your bank.
When you request a quote via our website, we check the availability and send you a quote accordingly. Please note that the availability of vehicle and quoted rates are valid only at the time of quoting and we cannot guarantee the availability of the vehicles or quoted rates when you request to book by paying the deposit. Please note that the deposit once paid will become non-refundable (unless the vehicle is not available and the customer does not want to proceed with the alternate option) and all terms and conditions will apply. Balance payment will need to be paid by the due date. Upon receipt of booking confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date. If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first.In case the vehicle is not available when you request to book, we will provide you the option of choosing an alternative vehicle that may be available or refund the full deposit amount.The alternate option may have higher deposit amount and rental price and you agree to pay the difference in deposit and rental price if you proceed with the alternate option.Please note that the refund of deposit may take up to 8-10 weeks depending on your bank.
Note: All booking deposits are non-refundable.
Balance payment due date depends on the vehicle you have booked and the Third Party Vehicle Supplier’s policy. Please read payment terms carefully before proceeding with the booking. Cancellation fees and charges will apply as per Third Party Vehicle Supplier’s policy. RentCampervan reserves the right to charge your credit/debit card for up to the full amount of balance payment (as per cancellation policy) and/or cancellation charges plus the credit/debit card surcharge if the booking is confirmed and the balance amount and/or cancellation charges have not been paid by the due date.
Credit card surcharge
We accept Visa, MasterCard, and bank transfers (NZ$ only). A credit card surcharge fee of 2.1% is applied on any transaction done on this website. For rentals in New Zealand, we accept only NZ$ for all bookings.
RentCampervan does not charge administration fees to make amendments to the booking for the first time but further amendments will be chargeable at $100 per change. The Third Party Vehicle Supplier may have additional fees and charges for booking amendments that may also apply. All amendments should be requested in writing at firstname.lastname@example.org.If the booking amendment results in increased deposit amount and/or rental price, the customer will be liable to pay the difference in the depositand/or rental price. If the booking amendment results in lower deposit amount and/or rental price, the difference in deposit amount will not be refunded and the customer may still need to pay the original rental price. RentCampervan reserves the right to charge your credit/debit card for up to the full amount of balance payment and difference in deposit amount plus the credit/debit card surcharge if the booking is confirmed and the balance amount has not been paid by the due date.Please note that amendments to the booking may not always be guaranteed and are subject to approval by RentCampervan and Third Party Vehicle Supplier.
Cancellation & Refund
If cancellation of confirmed booking is initiated by the customer, deposit paid for that booking will be non-refundable. Cancellation fees and charges are on top of the deposit amount and will be applicable as per the Third Party Vehicle Supplier’s policy. RentCampervan reserves the right to charge your credit/debit card for up to the full amount of balance payment (as per cancellation policy) and/or cancellation charges plus the credit/debit card surcharge if the booking is confirmed and the balance amount and/or cancellation charges have not been paid by the due date.
If the cancellation of confirmed booking is initiated by Third Party Vehicle Supplier because of the circumstances beyond their control, for example, a catastrophic breakdown of vehicle while on hire with another customer which cannot be repaired, Third party Vehicle Supplier if possible will arrange for alternate vehicle. If Third party Vehicle Supplier is unable to arrange alternate campervan, we will try our best to get you another vehicle from another Third Party Vehicle Supplier. During periods like peak season, we might not be able to provide alternte option. In such circumstances we shall only be liable to provide a refund to you for the deposit amount paid the at the time of booking.
In the event of receiving email/whatsapp message from customer about possible cancellation of their confirmed booking (for example, customer says he/she/they might have to or would like to cancel the booking…), we reserve the right to charge customer’s card for the cancellation fee (if applicable) as per cancellation policy. This amount will be adjusted against the total cost of the booking if customer decides not to cancel the booking. Booking once cancelled cannot be reversed and cancellation charges apply as per the cancellation policy.
In the event of no show, we reserve the right to charge customer’s card for any due/balance amount to the vehicle supplier. This amount will then be forwarded to the vehicle supplier as No-Show fee as per their policy.
Sometimes a booking may need to be cancelled because of circumstances beyond either party’s control. For example, a weather event, public health event (including epidemic / pandemic), medical emergencies, strike, terrorist act, governmental, regional or local authority restrictions (such as restrictions on movement due to the COVID-19 pandemic) or a change in law. If this occurs, we may provide you, at our sole discretion, a credit voucher for the deposit amount. If balance amount has also been paid, a credit voucher or refund for the balance amount is not guaranteed and will be as per the Third Party Vehicle Supplier policy.
In any given circumstances we are liable upto the deposit amount only for refund.
We are not responsible (including in negligence) to you for any failure or delay on the part of any Third Party Vehicle Supplier in providing travel products to you where the booking has been properly processed.
1.The credit note for deposit amount (if issued) can be adjusted only against the deposit amount of your new booking. Same applies for the balance amount.
2. In case the credit note for balance amount is issued, credit note can only be used to make new booking with the same campervan supplier (company) as originally booked.
3. Credit note for the deposit and balance amount are non-transferable.
4. New bookings should be made under the same name as the original booking.
5. The credit notes can be used for single booking only and not across multiple bookings.
6.Deposit and balance amount for new booking should be equal to or higher than the current amounts. If any or both the amounts are less than the credit amount, there wont be any refund for the difference amount however if the new deposit or balance or both the amount is higher than the amount in credit note, the difference in amount needs to be paid.
In the event that the vehicle you request to book (either by requesting to book online, by paying deposit as per our quote, on the phone or live chat) is not available and/or you do not want to proceed with the alternate option provided by us, we will process the refund for the amount paid (only if your booking has not already been confirmed). Refund may take up to 8-10 weeks to show in your account depending on your bank.
Credit Card Dispute Fee
Request for refund or disputes must be directed to us in writing at email@example.com. We store a case history for every client that includes:
• Detailed notes from all phone calls
• Live Chat messages / WhatsApp messages
• Email text
Any request for refund or disputes that are directed to credit/debit card issuer/merchant (or other third party) will be chargeable to you at $150 (administration fee)by us if found in favour of RentCampervan.co.nz. It takes us significant time to compile a case history to send it as a dispute response to credit/debit card issuer/merchant (or other third party). RentCampervan reserves the right to charge your credit/debit card for the amount of the aforementioned administration fee in relation to the dispute.
